An Okanagan multi-method (stick build, factory build, panel build) residential home manufacturer asked Al for support to provide regular inspections at their plant and worksites. A team of 50-60 sub-trades worked in the plant on a daily basis, and they needed help to develop and implement plant specific safe operating procedures to ensure they met all regulatory compliance requirements.
In addition to providing inspection services, Al facilitated regular safety meetings and established protocols for dealing with plant specific concerns including but not limited to: sawdust control, safe movement of panels down the assembly line, fall protection for modular construction, and safe use of spray foam insulation within a plant environment.
Success was achieved through Al’s ability to interview workers to complete task analyses, use this information to conduct research and write appropriate protocols, and assist the team to understand and implement the protocols.
